Used Car Buying Guide

We recommend buying a newer car with fewer mileage. Cars over 10 years old require frequent repairs. Finding the cause of the problem, purchasing parts, and consulting with repair shops to determine whether the parts are genuine or branded, and the repair costs, all of which are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and expensive. Guiyang Silu Used Car Exporters has established a strong reputation in China and has established multiple overseas used car stores in Central Asia and Southeast Asia, selling both new and used Chinese cars. If you're overseas and looking for a used car exporter from China, please contact us.

1. Budget

First, determine your budget, including the purchase price, insurance, maintenance, ownership transfer, and round-trip transportation. Try to stay within your means and avoid disrupting your daily life. Otherwise, you'll struggle to afford weekly gas, and owning a car will become a hassle.

2. Pre-Purchase Preparation

Once you've found a car you like, ask the owner to send you a photo of the vehicle's license plate. Check the vehicle's accident history and mileage. This will roughly determine if it's been in an accident or has had its odometer tampered with, but these should only be used as a guide.

3. Inspecting the Used Car in Person

1. Paint

Check the paint throughout the car, identifying any scratches and any significant color differences.

2. Interior

Examine the interior from the outside to determine the degree of wear and tear, roughly assess the mileage, and determine the owner's daily use. From the driver's side, inspect the roof and other details to see if any parts have been removed or installed.

3. Engine Compartment

Check the engine compartment for oil leaks. Check the headlight manufacturing date and radiator frame to see if the radiator has been replaced to determine if the front radiator is a set. Check the condition of the longitudinal beams. If they are damaged, walk away. Don't buy it. It will affect your safety and be uncomfortable to drive.

4. Other Locations

A/B/C/Rear Fender/Rear Awning; If the A/B/C pillars have been moved, or if the rear fender/rear awning has been cut, the vehicle is considered in a major accident.

5. Test Drive

Stationary: Close all windows, sit in the car, start the engine. If the engine shakes severely, the engine mounts need to be replaced.

Dynamic: Test the vehicle with rapid acceleration and deceleration.

6. If all seems to be fine but you're unsure, you can also consult a professional tester.
