Great Wall Motors unveiled its new Tank 500 off-road SUV on July 25.

This new Tank 500 off-road SUV is equipped with a roof-mounted laser radar to support Great Wall Motors' Coffee Pilot Ultra advanced driver assistance system. The car will be officially unveiled on July 25, and is expected to start pre-sale in August and be launched in China in the third quarter.

Currently, the Tank 500 is available in 5-seater and 7-seater models, as well as fuel and plug-in models.

According to relevant reports, the new Tank 500 continues the design language of the current model. The biggest difference is the addition of the Hesai ATX roof-mounted laser radar, which is 60% smaller and 50% lighter than the Hesai AT128 laser radar on the WEY Blue Mountain Edition. At the same time, the front trapezoidal grille adopts upgraded chrome trim strips, the rear has a new "GWM" logo, and green exterior paint is available for consumers to choose.

The length, width and height of the new Tank 500 remain unchanged, which are 5078/1934/1905 mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2850 mm, and it is positioned as a medium and large SUV.

In addition, according to previously announced information, the power is expected to remain the same as the current model. The Hi4-T and Hi4-Z plug-in hybrid system consists of a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 185 kW (248 horsepower).

Referring to the current model, the Tank 500 Hi4-T is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum power of 120 kW (161 horsepower), equipped with a ternary lithium battery pack of 36.7/37.1 kWh, and a WLTC pure electric range of 110 kilometers. The Tank 500 Hi4-Z is equipped with dual motors with a combined power of 455 kW (610 horsepower) and a 59.05 kWh ternary lithium battery pack. The WLTC pure electric range is 201 kilometers.
